7 days35 learning hoursEnglishLa Laguna, Tenerife

01 / WHAT YOU’LL EXPLORE

New tools. Thoughtful teaching.

A hands-on course for school teachers and leaders on using artificial intelligence well: designing lessons and materials, assessing with AI and knowing its limits, handling pupils' data, and teaching pupils about AI — framed by the European rules and guidelines that now apply to schools: the EU AI Act, the Commission's 2026 ethical guidelines for educators and the DigCompEdu framework.

What you’ll take home

  • A sequence of lessons designed with AI for your own subject and class
  • A draft set of AI guidelines for your school, grounded in EU rules
  • A self-assessment of your digital competence with SELFIEforTEACHERS (DigCompEdu) and a personal improvement plan
  • The ability to judge when a use of AI in school is high-risk under the EU AI Act, and what that implies

Learning objectives

  • Use generative AI to plan lessons, differentiate and create teaching materials for your own subject
  • Use AI for feedback and assessment while protecting fairness and academic integrity
  • Apply the EU AI Act, the GDPR and the Commission's ethical guidelines to real classroom decisions
  • Teach pupils to use AI critically and responsibly
